After time arrival we will have a quick tour of Casablanca, visit the extraordinary Hassan II Mosque, whose 689-foot minaret is the world's tallest. We will drive through the city's Habous district and the mechouar, the ceremonial meeting place outside the Royal Palace. Tonight, gather for a festive welcome dinner overlooking the sea.

DAY 3, Sunday, JUNE 20, FEZ
Short tour of Rabat, the third imperial city of Morocco. After we head to Meknes and visit the Ismaïlian capital, which has the longest ramparts in Morocco and the famous Bab Mansour gates. Later continue the tour to Fez.

DAY 4, Monday, JUNE 21, FEZ
After breakfast, the whole day will be devoted to the sightseeing of Fez, the most ancient of the Imperial cities, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idridd II. Visit the medieval Medina with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (religious Islamic universities), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. DAY 5, Tuesday, JUNE 22, MERZOUGA
Depart Fes to begin a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, which are characterized by a varied landscape where the eastern part receives hardly any rainfall, yet the western part enjoys the highest rainfall and arable areas where valleys and plateaus are covered by forests of cedar, cork, oak and maritime pine.
Settle into a traditional Berber tented camp, tucked in among the dunes of Merzouga. Dine under the star-studded Saharan sky, and enjoy an evening of Berber folk music and tales around the campfire.

DAY 6, Wednesday, JUNE 23, OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate itself is a modern, regional administrative town with little of interest for the tourist, but 32km away is the famous Ait Benhaddou, one of the best preserved kasbah-towns in the Atlas, many films, including Lawrence of Arabia.

DAY 7, Thursday, JUNE 24, MARRAKESH
Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure. Travel through stands of indigenous argan and thuya trees, where the areas famous tree-climbing goats can be seen. Or, weather and nerves permitting, travel to Marrakech, visit the highest pass through the Atlas Mountains, Tizin Test. Arrive Marrakesh for overnight.

The top sights include the stately Koutoubia Minaret, the hidden tombs of the Saadian dynasty, the Menara pavilion and gardens, the ruins of sprawling Badi Palace, the Bahia Palace Museum, the Ben Yousef medersa, and the Koubba (chapel) of el-Ba'adiyn.
